The blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average, tech-focused Nasdaq Composite, and benchmark S&P 500 finished up a respective 1%, 1%, and 0.9%, with the Dow adding more than 500 points, as the indexes broke four-session losing streaks. The S&P's Communication Services, Consumer Discretionary, and Information Technology Sectors led the advances, with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Dell Technologies (DELL) logging double-digit jumps.
