Navy demonstrates first-ever combat operation involving unmanned naval vessels

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Navy announced this on Facebook . “The Navy, in coordination with the Main Intelligence Directorate, carried out a successful operation in the Black Sea and destroyed a Russian unmanned surface vessel. The Ukrainian Sargan destroyed the Russian unmanned surface vessel,” the statement reads. The target was detected by units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. The Navy’s unmanned surface vessel Sargan 3000, equipped with a 12.7 mm RWS Protector automatic turret, successfully destroyed it. “This is the first-ever naval battle between unmanned surface vessels,” the Navy noted.
