According to him, historical experience shows that theoretical concepts of a social contract have not been implemented in the form described by philosophers and political scientists. “And the social ideas that have emerged since—I don’t know—the time of John Locke, for example—are purely speculative. Even by their own authors, these socio-philosophical assumptions have never been effectively implemented, because that’s not how it works. They’re just nice words,” said the social psychologist.
