Ukraine to receive $841M in budget support from Canada soon – Koretskyi

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi announced this on Telegram . "Ukraine will shortly receive $841 million in budgetary support from the World Bank under the Government of Canada's guarantees. Funds are provided within the PEACE in Ukraine project. The resource will be directed to reimburse state budget expenditures on pension payments," Koretskyi wrote. He stressed that amid a budget deficit and imbalances in public finances, such support is extremely important and timely. Koretskyi thanked the Canadian government and the World Bank for their assistance. As reported, the Ukrainian government plans to complete work by October 15 on the documents required to secure $29.5 billion in international financing this year.
