US President Donald Trump has rebuffed criticism of AI technology progressing too quickly, calling it a "SICK conspiracy." This comes despite calls by market leaders such as Anthropic's Dario Amodei and OpenAI 's Sam Altman for more governmental regulation on AI. In recent months, several incidents have highlighted the risk of AI agents going rogue and carrying out a series of hacks. "The only control or ‘guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!" Trump posted on his Truth Social account. According to Trump, his administration has already prevented Anthropic from "doing bad, or potentially bad" things with their technology.
