US President Donald Trump has called concerns that artificial intelligence is progressing too quickly a "SICK conspiracy." This comes despite calls by tech leaders such as Anthropic's Dario Amodei and OpenAI 's Sam Altman for more governmental regulation of AI. In recent months, several incidents have highlighted the risk that AI agents could go rogue. "The only control or ‘guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!" Trump posted on his Truth Social account. According to Trump, his administration has already prevented Anthropic from "doing bad, or potentially bad" things with their technology.
