Ukraine sets urgent voting deadlines to safeguard international financial aid

Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi said this in a Facebook post, according to Ukrinform. He said the situation with Ukraine’s public finances was approaching a critical point. Koretskyi once again urged all members of parliament to adopt as quickly as possible the bills on which the country’s receipt of international financial assistance depends. “Following several previous meetings with parliamentarians, the government will officially send all members of parliament and relevant committees a schedule with clear deadlines for each required vote,” the Prime Minister said. According to him, if these deadlines are missed, Ukraine risks losing a significant portion of the $29.5 billion in international funding allocated to the country.
