San Bernardino County Unemployment Rate Improves From Last Year As Healthcare Jobs Grow - VVNG

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — San Bernardino County’s unemployment rate remained lower than a year ago in July, while healthcare continued to lead employment gains across the Inland Empire, according to California Employment Development Department data reported as of Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. The county’s unemployment rate was 5.5% in July 2026, down from 6.0% in July 2025, a year-over-year improvement of half a percentage point. The July rate, however, increased from 5.2% in June and 4.6% in May. San Bernardino County had an estimated 960,400 employed residents in July, compared with 962,500 in June and 970,600 in May. In July 2025, an estimated 977,700 county residents were employed.
