The unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan is currently around 3%, First Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, Choro Seyitov, told at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh’s Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Subsoil Use, and Environmental Protection, Kabar reported. Responding to a question from MP Umbetaly Kydyraliev about the unemployment rate, Choro Seyitov stated that the figure is around 3%. Umbetaly Kydyraliev noted that five years ago, the unemployment rate was 5.5%, and attributed the decline to the opening of new jobs and businesses. The average wage was also raised at the meeting.
