(RTTNews) - The Taiwan stock market has finished lower in two straight sessions, plunging more than 600 points or 2.6 percent along the way. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just beneath the 23,400-point plateau and it's expected to open under pressure again on Friday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is weak, with continued selling pressure expected among technology and semiconductor stocks. The European and U.S. markets were mostly down and the Asian markets figure to follow suit. The TSE finished sharply lower on Thursday following losses from the technology and cement sectors, while the plastics were up and the financials came in mixed. For the day, the index tumbled 371.33 points or 1.56 percent to finish at 23,398.
