(RTTNews) - The Thai stock market on Wednesday ended the four-day winning streak in which it had gained more than 20 points or 1.5 percent. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now sits just above the 1,435-point plateau and it's likely to open to the downside again on Thursday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative after the Federal Reserve announced its well-telegraphed rate cut. The European and U.S. markets saw mild losses and the Asian bourses are tipped to follow suit. The SET finished barely lower on Wednesday following losses from the food, consumer and industrial sectors. For the day, the index slipped 0.83 points or 0.06 percent to finish at 1,435.77 after trading between 1,432.91 and 1,446.52. Volume was 10.
