The Bank of England is changing the criteria used to determine which firms are required to submit Form BT monthly. Under the revised criteria, monthly Form BT reporting will generally be required where a firm is also required to submit specified monthly Money and Credit statistical returns. Firms that do not meet these criteria will continue to submit Form BT only quarterly, unless the Bank informs them otherwise. All banks and building societies with a deposit-taking licence are required to submit Form BT at least quarterly. A subset of these firms is also required to report Form BT monthly.
