Iran war cost: $33.4B in four months, U.S. munitions shortfalls

Global world crisis and world war] Sergii Zyskо/iStock via Getty Images The Iran war has cost an estimated $33.4B as of June 29, according to a report on Operation Epic Fury (OEF) from the Lead Inspector General of the Department of Defense that was submitted to Congress. This estimate includes $22.3B for expended munitions, $7.4B of cumulative obligations (incremental costs) for OEF and $3.7B in equipment losses. It does not include costs for infrastructure repairs, the report noted.
