Broadcom CEO Hock Tan pushed back Monday against investor anxiety that a deceleration in frontier AI model building could threaten the chipmaker's outlook, saying Broadcom's fiscal 2027 and 2028 AI semiconductor projections are intact. "We see the demand for compute infrastructure, for AI development or AI frontier models, and inference for the products that they feed to the world, as continuing to be very strong and, I believe, very durable," Tan told CNBC's "Mad Money." Tan's remarks came after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei published an essay over the weekend calling on AI companies to moderate the pace of capabilities development, drawing public support from OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Elon Musk.
