Wall Street closed lower on Monday, dragged down by tech and industrial stocks. Artificial intelligence (AI) stocks tumbled globally as leading AI CEOs warned rapid development poses risks. Investors grew nervous as the benchmark 10-year Treasury yield topped 5% before the Fed meeting. All of the three benchmark indexes ended in the red. How Did the Benchmarks Perform? The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) fell 152.09 points, or 0.3%, to close at 52,421.2. Twenty components of the 30-stock index ended in positive territory, while 10 ended in negative. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite slid 146.63 points, or 0.6%, to close at 26,186.41. The S&P 500 lost 37 points, or 0.5%, to close at 7,619.98.
