Sanju Samson scored 57 off 22 balls as India beat Afghanistan by seven wickets to clinch their three-match T20 series with a match to spare on Tuesday. Samson hit four sixes and seven fours en route to his first half-century since this year’s T20 World Cup final – where he was named player of the tournament. His opening partner Abhishek Sharma scored 39 off 19 balls – including four sixes – as the duo amassed 88 off only 38 balls. India finished with 163-3 in 14.5 overs. It had won the first T20 by seven wickets as well, at the same venue on Sunday. Afghanistan is playing host in this series, in a unique arrangement, and for the second game running, it finished with an under-par score after India won the toss and opted to field.
