The ministry added that Parliamentary State Secretary Rita Schwarzelühr-Sutter is expected to announce the additional funding of 1 million euros on Tuesday at a conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. It is noted that to date, Germany has already allocated 7.3 million euros to support the IAEA’s activities in Ukraine. It is noted that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant—Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, currently occupied by Russia—has been a source of serious concern regarding nuclear safety since the start of the war.
