(RTTNews) - The Thai stock market has moved lower in five straight sessions, retreating more than 40 points or 2.7 percent along the way. The Stock Exchange of Thailand now sits just beneath the 1,580-point plateau and it's expected to spin its wheels again on Wednesday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is negative on rising crude oil prices and treasury yields, and ahead of the U.S. rate decision later today. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion. The SET finished modestly lower on Tuesday as losses among the food and technology stocks were offset by gains among the financial, resource and industrial sectors. For the day, the index sank 12.41 points or 0.
