According to Ukrinform, citing ABC News , US Attorney General Todd Blanche told reporters about the case on Tuesday. He said investigators in the Southern District of New York had uncovered the case. According to Blanche, those involved had, among other things, planned the assassination of a Russian dissident who was staying in the Washington area. At the time, the attorney general did not disclose the names of the defendants or release the indictment or other case documents. The US Department of Justice said the case involves several Russian nationals whom prosecutors have linked to Russian intelligence services. As Ukrinform previously reported, the United States closed loopholes that "far-left terrorists" had used to obtain US visas.
