Beginning at 18:00 on September 15, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 80 strike UAVs, including Shahed-type drones (including jet-powered variants), Gerbera drones, and Parody-type decoy drones, launched from the areas of Orel, Kursk, and Millerovo in Russia, as well as Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. The aerial attack was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 on September 16, air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 63 drones.
