Zelensky says ready to hold elections as soon as tomorrow, but several factors make it impossible

Ukrinform reports this, citing President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky as saying in an interview with CBS News. “I am ready to hold them (the elections – ed.) as soon as tomorrow, but if the war continues, you cannot do this, neither under the Constitution, nor under election legislation, and, first and foremost, because of the security situation. How will people vote when children cannot go to school? How can elections be held when 9 million people are abroad? Usually, about half a million people vote from abroad. And what do we do with people living in the temporarily occupied areas? Will they vote? How will they vote, and who will oversee the voting process there? There are Russian soldiers there,” the President said.
