“The Netherlands has officially ratified the Council of Europe Convention establishing the International Claims Commission for Ukraine,” the statement said. The Hague, home to numerous international organizations, will host the International Claims Commission alongside the Register of Damage for Ukraine. André Haspels, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to the Council of Europe, deposited the instrument of ratification at the organization’s headquarters in Strasbourg. The document was deposited in the presence of Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset. The Convention must be ratified by 25 states to enter into force. As of September 15, 40 countries had signed the Convention.
