Ukrinform reports this, citing the Sumy Regional Office of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, in a Facebook post. Rescuers worked simultaneously at several locations, providing assistance to those injured, putting out fires, clearing rubble, and helping residents search for surviving belongings. Private homes, outbuildings, and civilian vehicles were destroyed or damaged. According to preliminary data, nine people were injured, including two children. One man died in hospital from his injuries. As previously reported by Ukrinform, on September 16, Russian forces struck the Sumy community with guided glide bombs. One person was known to have been killed and six injured.
