(RTTNews) - The Indonesia stock market has finished lower in five straight sessions, sinking more than 350 points or 4.7 percent in that span. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just above the 7,100-point plateau and it figures to open under pressure again on Thursday. The global forecast for the Asian markets suggests major consolidation on the deteriorating outlook for interest rates. The European markets were mixed and flat and the U.S. bourses were sharply lower and the Asian markets figure to follow the latter lead. The JCI finished modestly lower on Wednesday following losses from the food and financial shares, while the resource companies were mixed. For the day, the index slumped 49.86 points or 0.70 percent to finish at 7,107.
