Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian cities of Kyiv and Odesa injured at least 13 people early on Thursday, Ukrainian officials said, as the war heads toward its fifth winter. "An air raid alert has been declared in Kyiv due to the threat of missile strikes. We urge residents to proceed to the nearest shelters," the Kyiv City Military Administration wrote on Telegram. At least 10 people were wounded in the Ukrainian capital, officials said on the messaging app. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said apartment buildings and warehouses had been damaged in the latest strikes, and that debris also fell near a petrol station. News agencies such as Reuters and AFP cited witnesses hearing "strong" explosions in Kyiv.
