It said that overnight on September 17, Governor of the Yaroslavl region Mikhail Yevrayev announced a drone alert in the region. He later reported damage to the oil refinery and a fire. According to ASTRA’s analysis, the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery was on fire. The Slavneft-YANOS refinery processes about 15 million tons of crude oil annually and is among Russia’s five largest oil refineries. Its product range includes Euro-5 gasoline and diesel fuel, jet fuel, lubricants, bitumen, paraffin and wax products, aromatic hydrocarbons, liquefied gases and fuel oil. A drone alert was also declared in Rostov-on-Don overnight on September 17, with local residents posting footage showing large fires.
