AYRSHIRE, SCOTLAND — Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said AI should not be regulated like social media because AI is a “technology” rather than a “product.” Speaking at an AI event convened by King Charles III at Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland, Huang told journalists that AI is “very different than social media” and that at present the security issues involving AI are “related to products not ready to be released.” His remarks come as governments around the world are grappling with whether to place regulatory constraints on AI , and after AI executives, including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, have called for a slowing of AI development .
