Ukraine expands war risk insurance program for businesses, raises compensation cap

Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi announced this in a Telegram pos t, Ukrinform reports. “Russia deliberately attacks civilian businesses, warehouses, and logistics facilities every day. Businesses are suffering significant losses and need support to recover quickly. The government has included a separate provision for war risk insurance in the draft budget for next year. But businesses need support today, so we are now expanding the existing program,” the statement reads. Under the changes, Kyiv and the Kyiv region have been added to the list of high-risk areas. The next decision concerns fuel infrastructure. The list of property eligible for compensation in the event of damage or destruction has been expanded.
