Tennessee unemployment rate matches its lowest point of year so far - WZTV

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Tennessee’s unemployment rate held at 3.4% in August, matching the state’s lowest rate of the year as employers added 1,800 jobs from July. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development said the seasonally adjusted rate was unchanged from July and down one-tenth of a percentage point from August 2025. The state’s rate remained below the national unemployment rate of 4.1% in August.
