(RTTNews) - The Taiwan stock market has moved higher in back-to-back sessions, gathering almost 300 points or 1.3 percent along the way. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now rests just above the 22,900-point plateau and it's expected to open in the green again on Monday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is positive on optimism over the outlook for interest rates. The European and U.S. markets were up and the Asian bourses are expected to open in similar fashion. The TSE finished sharply higher on Friday following gains from the financial shares and technology stocks. For the day, the index rallied 242.54 points or 1.07 percent to finish at 22,901.64 after trading between 22,726.19 and 23,011.11. Among the actives, Cathay Financial rose 0.
