Indian Shares Set To Follow Global Peers Higher As Inflation Concerns Ease

(RTTNews) - Indian shares are seen opening higher on Friday, tracking gains in global markets as a pullback in oil prices and global bond yields helped ease inflation and interest-rate concerns. Benchmark indexes Sensex and Nifty swung between gains and losses before ending on a mixed note Thursday. The rupee breached the 96 level before recovering to settle 2 paise higher at 95.89 against the U.S. dollar, snapping its seven-day falling streak on heavy dollar selling by banks. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold shares worth Rs 3,208.76 crore on Thursday while domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net bought shares to the extent of Rs. 3,617.75 crore, according to provisional exchange data.
