Vineyard Wind, GE Vernova end legal conflict over Massachusetts wind farm

Vineyard Wind and GE Vernova have reached a confidential agreement that ends a commercial legal dispute surrounding the Vineyard Wind offshore wind project in Massachusetts, US. The parties confirmed that GE Vernova withdrew its earlier notice of contract termination and both companies agreed to dismiss all outstanding legal actions related to the project. The dispute emerged after GE Vernova, responsible for designing, manufacturing and installing the project's wind turbine generators, issued a termination notice in February. The company asserted it was owed $360m under a $1.3bn contract for its work on the site, reported Reuters.
