[President Trump Travels To North Carolina] Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images News President Donald Trump on Saturday said he will form an "AI Force" and appoint an AI "czar" in a bid to control the harmful side of artificial intelligence, an industry he said will one day make up 25% of the U.S. GDP. “We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it as it grows!" Trump said in a social media post. “AI is the next Industrial Revolution, or Internet, but will be even larger and more impactful, possibly as much as 25% of our Country’s GDP,” he added, noting that the U.S. is leading China and other countries in AI, and “I intend to keep it that way!
