Archer Aviation is currently investing heavily in certification and manufacturing processes as it strives to achieve significant milestones in its eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) development. However, the company still faces challenges in establishing credibility in its ambitious goals. At present, Archer's stock trades around $5 per share, a stark contrast to its 52-week high of $14.62. If an investor had put $5,000 into Archer at its peak price, their investment would now be worth approximately $1,837. Investing the same amount at the current price could yield similarly disappointing results. In the second quarter, Archer reported $5 million in revenue, while its cash reserves decreased by about $215 million.
