GE Vernova’s (GEV) $200 Billion Backlog is Coming Sooner than Expected

GE Vernova Inc. (NYSE:GEV) received a boost on September 16 after CEO Scott Strazik stated that the company's backlog could hit the $200 billion mark "very early" in 2027, sooner than Wall Street had expected. The company expects the "strong and durable demand" to drive accelerated growth after its backlog had reached $167 billion at the end of the second quarter of 2026. GEV has gained by almost 50% over the last year but is down by more than 14% over the last month, reflecting growing investor concerns surrounding the AI trade.
