(RTTNews) - The South Korea stock market has finished higher in two of three trading days since the end of the four-day losing streak in which it had plunged more than 420 points or 5.9 percent. The KOSPI now sits just beneath the 6,900-point plateau although it may be stuck in neutral on Monday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is mixed to lower on concerns over crude oil prices and the outlook for interest rates. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and the Asian markets figure to split the difference. The KOSPI finished sharply higher on Friday following gains from the financial shares, technology stocks and automobile producers. For the day, the index jumped 178.82 points or 2.66 percent to finish at 6,894.23.
