(RTTNews) - The Singapore stock market ticked lower again on Friday, one day after ending the two-day slide in which it had dropped almost 85 points or 1.7 percent. The Straits Times Index now sits just above the 5,655-point plateau although it's like to remain in that neighborhood again on Monday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is mixed to lower on concerns over crude oil prices and the outlook for interest rates. The European markets were down and the U.S. bourses were mixed and the Asian markets figure to split the difference. The STI finished slightly lower on Friday as losses from the retail, finance and telecom sectors were mitigated by support from the property and technology companies. For the day, the index dipped 4.
