Michael Saylor's Bitcoin treasury company Strategy bought 950 BTC for $75.7 million in the week to September 20, paying an average of $79,670 a coin inclusive of fees, according to an 8-K filed Monday. That takes the company to 846,000 BTC, bought for $63.80 billion at an average of $75,416 a coin, and to within 1,363 coins of a record. Strategy held 847,363 BTC on June 22, the largest stack it has ever reported per BitcoinTreasuries, and is now 0.2% short of it. A fortnight of buying at this week's pace would clear the mark. Getting back there has taken two months. Summer sales cut the holdings to 840,447 by August 10, their lowest since May, and the company has added 5,553 coins since.
