Union targets big tech after Labour’s workers’ rights overhaul

New employment laws allow unions access to workplaces such as Meta's headquarters in King's Cross, north London - Dan Kitwood/Getty Images Union bosses are mounting an assault on big tech companies after Labour's overhaul of workers' rights. Prospect, which represents more than 160,000 UK workers across a range of sectors, has struck an agreement with Meta that gives the union direct access to recruit more members. This will allow Prospect to be able to speak directly to Meta's 5,000 employees in the UK for the first time. Trade union leaders will be able to discuss their work and the benefits of membership with a view to recruiting more members.
