It could take several weeks to repair the damage and resume operations. On Sunday morning, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin confirmed that an industrial facility at the refinery had been damaged during a drone raid on the Russian capital. The report also notes that fuel produced by the Moscow Oil Refinery has not been offered for sale on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange since September 21. The AVT-6 primary processing unit handles 21,400 tons of crude oil per day, accounting for 53% of the refinery’s total capacity.
