For more details on our national forecast see our Quarterly Economic Forecast British Columbia’s (B.C.) economy is expected to grow at a modest pace in 2026, broadly in line with the national average, before picking up in 2027. The resulting slowdown in labour force growth and employment has weighed on many household-oriented industries (Chart 1). Housing markets are undergoing a similar adjustment.
