Parliament ready to convene extraordinary session to pass bills needed for financial support, Speaker says

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk said this at a briefing following a presentation of work on Ukraine’s new Civil Code in Kharkiv, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. “We are ready [the lawmakers are ready to vote on bills related to Ukraine’s commitments to its partners and the provision of financial support – ed.] when these laws are clear, when they have been discussed with the committees, and when they are submitted to the chamber in a prepared form,” he said. The Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament noted that the Verkhovna Rada does not yet have some of these bills. “There are 45 bills, 18 of which, unfortunately, have not yet been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by the government.
