Amazon.com Inc (AMZN, Financials), the e-commerce and cloud behemoth, has barred Meta's Muse AI agent from buying on its retail platform, making a spat over access a broader test for AI-powered commerce.Muse was built to fulfilll users' needs, including locating products and completing online shopping. Amazon began blocking the agent Sunday after Meta refused a request to exclude Amazon from the experience.Amazon said shopping agents have to identify themselves and get authorization from the retailer. The company also says automated agents can raise issues about client data and security.There's another problem with that argument.
