(RTTNews) - The Taiwan stock market has moved higher in consecutive trading days, collecting almost 80 points or 0.5 percent along the way. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just above the 16,350-point plateau and it may tick higher again on Monday. The global forecast for the Asian markets is mixed and flat on ongoing concerns over the outlook for interest rates. The European markets were slightly higher and the U.S. bourses were mixed and little changed and the Asian markets figure to follow the latter lead. The TSE finished modestly higher on Friday following mixed performances from the financial shares, technology stocks and cement companies. For the day, the index gained 43.34 points or 0.27 percent to finish at 16,353.
