Burnham said he had been “reflecting on that last decade” outside the EU and suggested the referendum campaign had been characterized by distorted facts. “Our focus at the moment is on a U.K.-EU summit which we hope will take place later this year,” he told reporters on the plane on the way to the U.N. General Assembly in New York.
