AFU General Staff confirms strikes on oil refineries in Russia’s Ufa and Samara

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook . On September 21 and overnight into September 22, Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck two important facilities of Russia’s oil refining industry. In Ufa, in the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Bashneft-UNPZ Oil Refinery was hit, and a fire was reported on the facility’s premises. The refinery has a processing capacity of about 7.5 million tons of crude oil per year. It carries out deep oil refining and produces gasoline, diesel and boiler fuel, liquefied gases, sulfur, and other petroleum products. In Samara, the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery was hit, and a fire was reported on the facility’s premises.
