UBS has lifted its projection for Eurozone inflation, with the revision largely driven by costlier energy and a one-time bump in German medical expenses, Investing.com reported. The team of economists headed by Anna Titareva now anticipates headline inflation reaching 3.5% on a year-over-year basis in September, compared with 3.2% in August, and topping out near 3.6% in the early part of 2027. The bank increased its yearly average projections to 2.9% for 2026, previously 2.8%, and to 2.7% for 2027, previously 2.5%. According to the economists, the August inflation figure did not signal a widening of price pressures, as the final Eurozone HICP estimate was adjusted marginally downward to 3.2% from an initial 3.3%.
