No change in Hamilton County’s August unemployment rate. - KQRadio

Webster City- The Iowa Workforce Development office announced Tuesday that the unemployment rate in Hamilton County remained at 2.9 percent for August. This was the same rate for July. There were 7,600 Hamilton C0unty residents employed while 230 people were without work for August. The unemployment rates for August in surrounding counties include Boone County at 3.1 percent, Franklin County at 3.5 percent, Hardin County at 3.6 percent, Story County at 3.o percent, Webster County at 3.8 percent and Wright County was 2.5 percent. Iowa’s unemployment rate for August remained as the July rate of 3.2 percent. There were 1,669,600 Iowans employed during the last month while 54,700 were without work.
