Meta’s Muse Hit No. 1. Google Suddenly Has an AI-Agent Distribution Problem

Meta launched Muse just over two weeks ago. It is already forcing the AI-agent market to answer a much bigger question than whose model scores highest on a benchmark. Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) pushed Muse to the top of the U.S. iPhone free-app charts following its launch. Reports this weekend put first-week downloads near 900,000. Muse can research, shop, fill forms, manage calendars and perform other tasks after users grant access to relevant services. For Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL), the uncomfortable part is not that Meta suddenly owns better models.
