(RTTNews) - Manchester United plc (MANU) announced Wednesday a fourth-quarter net loss of 28.7 million British pounds or 16.66 pence per basic share, sharply wider than 3.9 million pounds or 2.26 pence per basic share in the prior-year quarter. Excluding items, adjusted loss per basic share for the quarter was 16.36 pence, compared to adjusted loss per basic share of 3.16 pence in the year-ago quarter. Total revenues for the quarter declined 4.0 percent to 157.5 pounds from 164.1 pounds in the same quarter last year. Commercial revenue declined 18.1 percent to 72.2 million pounds and matchday revenue decreased 4.3 percent to 35.6 million pounds, while broadcasting revenue grew 28.4 percent to 49.7 million pounds from last year.
